Enhanced with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating to dramatically increase it's edge holding ability, Sorby's Gold Roughing Gouge is an extra-heavy gouge used to bring square or unevenly shaped stock to round before detail turning.It's shape enables it to cut safely by keeping the wings (side wall tips) away from the workpiece.Gouge has 12" handle length and an overall length of 19".
